Privacy Policy

Cyber Coach helps you understand and improve your own security. To do that job honestly, we believe your answers should belong to you — not to us. This policy explains exactly what the app handles, where it lives, and what we never do with it.

1. The short version

2. Who we are

Cyber Coach ("the app", "we", "us") is published by Rising Tide Cyber, based in Australia. For any privacy questions, write to paul@risingtidecyber.com.au.

3. What data the app handles

3.1 Your answers and to-do list

When you answer questions and work through your action plan, everything is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. It is not transmitted to Rising Tide Cyber or any third party. It lives in your device's app sandbox, is backed up only as part of your standard iCloud or local device backup (which Apple encrypts), and can be removed at any time by deleting the app.

3.2 Anonymous diagnostics

If you have not disabled "Share With App Developers" in your iOS privacy settings, Apple may share anonymised crash reports and aggregate usage statistics with us through App Store Connect. These reports do not include your answers. We use them only to find and fix bugs.

3.3 Contact email

If you email us at the address above, we'll see your email address and the message you sent. We only use it to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list.

3.4 What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, your contacts, your location, advertising identifiers, photos, microphone access, or any data from other apps on your device.

4. Third parties

Cyber Coach does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind. The only external service involved in distributing the app is Apple's App Store.

5. Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is suitable for teenagers and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Because the app keeps everything on-device and asks for no personal details, it collects no data from any user, regardless of age.

6. Your rights

Because the app does not transmit your answers to us, there is generally nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on your behalf. To remove your data, delete the app from your device. If you have ever emailed us, you can ask us to delete that email at any time.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and surface a notice in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.

8. Jurisdiction

This policy is written under Australian law. If you are using the app from elsewhere, your local privacy regulations may give you additional rights — and we will honour them.
